Tribune Editorial "Barbara Bush Should Apologize" (9/13/05)

This is a letter I sent to the Tribune on 9/13/05. Think it will be published? Doesn't matter. It's being published here.

"On today’s op-ed page (9/13/05) you wax indignant and declare that Barbara Bush should apologize for her remarks about the New Orleans slums. This was done in an unsigned editorial. But then, on the other hand, the Tribune enables its resident attack dog Daniel Ruth to accuse the President of being a murderer when he said, "The body bags stop at the Oval Office”. My, my! Aren’t you folks just a fine kettle of hypocrites down there on Parker street!"

Ain't it the truth. The lips start quivering at the least opportunity down at the Trib but they never seem to mind when Ruth says spouts his venom. TBR is the Triune's alter ego. They know they can't say the things that he says and get away with it. so, they assign them to him to say. If anyone is offended they say that it's just the words of one writer stating his opinion under his freedom of speech rights. Clever but we can see through it.

Hey, did you notice that on the same page the Tribune lectured us about expanding the need for more pet shelters? Do you think Trib would be willing to take in a few and house them in Petunia Pig's cubicle?

Thanks, Boogie man. You say it quite well. As a matter of fact I am using your thoughts in the blog header.
